HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS AT STEW LEONARD’S NORWALK STORE
WHAT:
Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk is kicking off the 2022 holiday season with many family-friendly activities, including holiday-themed classes and even a special Breakfast with Santa!
Except where noted, the price is per child per class and payment is required at the time of registration via Eventbrite.com (search for Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk). Parents/caretakers are kindly asked to register children at least 24 hours in advance. If a parent/caretaker needs to cancel a class, refunds will be given only if the store is notified 24 hours in advance. Classes will be held in Stew Leonard’s Conference Room on the second floor of the grocery store in Norwalk, Conn. Children need to be accompanied by an adult, for toddlers (ages 2-5 years old), which requires an adult to supervise their little one. All paid ticketed events will be posted on Eventbrite.com by October 15, 2022.
Turkey-Themed Cupcakes Class for Toddlers
Monday, November 14 and Tuesday, November 15, 2022
Children ages 2-5 will decorate four turkey-themed cupcakes in honor of Thanksgiving. Each class will run from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 am. The price is $20 per child. Parents or caretakers are asked to accompany their child to this class. Limited to 15 children per class.
Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration
Tuesday November 29, 2022, at 5 p.m.
Stew Leonard’s Norwalk store is kicking off the 2022 holiday season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting celebration. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. with musical entertainment from the Norwalk High School Choir and an appearance by the Long Hill Fire Department fire truck. Santa & Mrs. Claus will spend the evening mingling with families and handing out candy canes. Complimentary hot cocoa and cookies will be served. No registration is necessary for this free event.

This holiday season, families are invited to take a complimentary photo with Santa Claus himself at Stew Leonard’s. Santa will be seated in a snow-capped castle made of Lego-style bricks, flanked by lit Christmas trees. Children will have the chance to push a special button to make the castle come alive with light and sound before taking a seat on a bench in front of Santa for a photo.
Toddler Workshop: Reindeer Cupcakes
Tuesday December 6 and Wednesday December 7, 2022
Children ages 2-5 are invited to make four holiday themed cupcakes. Children will decorate their cupcakes with holiday frosting, sprinkles & special decorations. Each child will bring their yummy treats home with them. Each class will run from 10:00 – 11:00 am. The price is $20 is per child. Parents or caretakers are asked to accompany their child to this class. Limited to 15 children per class.
Breakfast with Santa and Stew’s Costumed Characters

Families are invited to have breakfast with Santa and his friends! A buffet-style breakfast of scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, assorted bagels, fruit and donuts, will be served accompanied by coffee and hot cocoa! Each child will be able to decorate a wooden ornament to take home. Limited seating available and registration must be made in advanced on our website.
Menorah Lighting Celebration
Sunday, December 18, 2022, at WHAT TIME?
Stew Leonard’s Norwalk store is celebrating Chanukah, the Festival of Lights, with its 30th annual menorah lighting celebration. The celebration starts with Rabbi Yehoshua Hecht of Beth Israel Chabad of Westport/Norwalk lighting an 18-foot menorah. Following the menorah lighting is a celebration complete with live music, holiday song and dance and complimentary Kosher refreshments and juice. Traditional dreidels and chocolate gelt will be distributed to all.
Local dignitaries from Norwalk and Westport will be on hand to partake in Fairfield County’s largest menorah lighting celebration.
