2022 HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS AT STEW LEONARD’S IN NEWINGTON

Stew Leonard’s in Newington announced their 2022 Halloween Events Calendar taking place during the month of October.

Halloween Drive Through
Saturday, October 1- Monday, October 31, 2022
Open during store hours
Starting on Saturday, October 1, 2022, cars can follow a Halloween Drive Through in the Stew Leonard’s Newington parking lot, located just steps from Stew’s pumpkin patch. This family-friendly experience, featuring more than a dozen Halloween-themed scenes using inflatable characters, decorations, and more! Customers can also tune their car’s radio to a special radio station where Clover the Cow’s spooky Halloween soundtrack will delight kids of all ages. This free event is open daily through Halloween.

Halloween Hay Bale Theater
Friday, October 7 and Friday, October 21, 2022
7:00-8:30 p.m.
Stew’s Garden Shop in Newington will be transformed into a Hay Bale Theater to show a free children’s Halloween-themed movie! The movies will be shown on Friday, October 7 and Friday, October 21. For movie titles and additional information, please see in-store. The movies begin at 7:00 p.m., with seating opening at 6:30 p.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis; no advance registration is necessary. Kids can also dance to Halloween music with their favorite Stew’s characters before the movie starts! Complimentary snacks will be provided.

Trick or Treat with Stew Leonard’s Characters
Wednesday, October 26, 2022
4 – 5:30 p.m.
Children ages 8 and younger are invited to dress in their costumes and come to Stew Leonard’s in Newington to go trick-or-treating. Clear goodie bags will be provided to children to collect their candy as they visit trick-or-treating stations throughout the store. Stew Leonard’s famous characters, including mascot Wow the Cow, will be available for taking photos with the children.

Due to a high level of interest from our shoppers, Stew Leonard’s in Newington will offer free tickets to the Trick-or-Treat event to 225 kids. The event will have timed entry so that the store does not become overcrowded; this is for the safety and comfort of all our customers. Families can register for the free tickets via EventBrite.com starting on October 1, 2022.

Plus, all kids under age 12 who wear their Halloween costume to Stew Leonard’s on Monday, October 31, 2022, will receive a free ice cream cone at our Ice Cream Parlor.

Stew’s Spooktacular Costume Breakfast
Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
Adults and children ages 12 and over are $16.99/each; children age 11 and younger are $14.99/each
Join the team at Stew Leonard’s in Newington for a Spooktacular Costume Breakfast hosted by our costumed characters and their friends! Stew Leonard’s culinary team will offer a buffet-style breakfast including pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, fruit, juice and coffee. We will have a spooky dance floor for everyone to show off their best dance moves with our costumed characters! Each child will receive a Halloween goodie bag at the end of the event to take home.
